2008-Present - The Corporate Life

“If you want to make any progress, you must have a bit of self-criticism and a lot of guts. Progress is only possible if you move on to the unknown.”

For almost three years now, I've been a Foreign Exchange Dealer.
In short, I buy and sell currencies for my book of clients.  In the last year or so, my role has turned more into a hybrid of a consultant/salesperson.

Being in the nation's capital, my clients are largely based in either hi-tech or not for profit organizations.

This position entails dealing with large volumes of money, so it is pretty exciting at times.

Unfortunately, I am still under the strong arm of a Fortune 500 company and with that comes an array of "corporate responsibilities and duties" that leave me with very little flexibility and freedom.  In addition, I feel that I've learned all that I possibly can with this company and would like to move on to more self rewarding ventures.

It's a means to an end as it has allowed me to save up some money to move towards my real dream.
