Osaka, Japan (2005)

It was the beginning of a new stage in life.
An escape from all things familiar.
And even though I had no idea what I was getting into, I felt a strong sense of curiousity, anxiousness, and excitement for what was to come.

As my 14 hour flight came to a near completion, I gazed out the window, fascinated by the natural landscape.

Upon arrival at KIX (Kansai Airport), me and other new teachers were greeted by company escorts.
After some very brief conversation with other instructors, we were guided to our living places.
Some foreigners were only half way towards their destinations and had longer journeys ahead of them.
Luckily, my school was located in Osaka.

(A schoolmate who was coincidentally heading to Osaka to teach as well - small world!)
