Break Fast - Natto

My wife and I decided to do another intermittent fast yesterday before we head into the Fall/Winter season.
This weekend went exceptionally well since the headaches were somewhat mild.  The fact that I am still showing some symptoms tells me that my body is still not balanced and that I will likely have to do a longer fast.

This morning we broke the fast with fresh organic beet, apple, and ginger juice.  For those who are interested making their own juices, I highly suggest getting a juicer for your home.

Twenty minutes later, I prepared a very simple breakfast including Natto, a raw egg, gluten free Tamari Soy Sauce, and Organic Dijon mustard.

Natto is a dish commonly eaten for breakfast in Japan.  It is basically fermented soybeans.  One distinct character of Natto is that it has a pungent smell like cheese.

The thing I like most about Natto is that it has many health benefits:

1)  Contains probiotic culture which improves digestion and intestinal flora.
2)  Can support the prevention of Cancer and Alzeimer's.
3)  Contains high levels of Vitamin K - which is great for your bones.
4)  Reduces bad cholesterol and hypertension.

It doesn't look very appealing to the average eyes, but the health benefits outweigh the aesthetic value.
Since I'm gluten intolerant, I use gluten free Soy Sauce, gluten free Organic Dijon mustard, and one free range (non-antibiotic) egg mixed in with my Natto.
